Our SAIDO Learning Memory Support program, as seen here on our website, documented in a recent Cleveland International Film Festival entry, in our advertising, online and elsewhere, is a large part of the Eliza Jennings brand and a highly unique and ground-breaking program for those suffering from the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Beginning in 2010, Eliza Jennings began working with Japanese researcher Dr. Ryuta Kawashima of the Smart Aging International Research Center at Tohoku University, in conjunction with the KUMON Institute of Education of Osaka, Japan to conduct the first ever SAIDO Learning trial in the United States. Results from this trial were proven to improve the memories and reverse the symptoms of dementia on participants.

This exciting program, which has been practiced for more than 10 years in Japan, is something the KUMON Group has termed “working memory training.” Facilitators use precise math and reading-aloud techniques to activate and stimulate the brain’s prefrontal cortex, helping to improve working memory and fluid intelligence in participants. Our research, conducted with seniors, has shown dramatic results in improving cognitive or preventative status for older adults suffering from brain disease.
