 Eliza Jennings Board of Trustees Appoints 2014-16 Officers

(Cleveland, Ohio) – Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized and trusted expert in aging services, announced the appointment of its Board of Trustees officers for the fiscal 2014-2016 term effective July 11, 2013:

Rick J. Weigle Jr., Chairman, was appointed to the Eliza Jennings Board in 2008 and is also a member of the Finance and Long Range Planning Committees. He is currently Director of Client Experience, Senior Vice President for Key Private Bank and has 30 years of financial services industry experience. His previous board and community volunteer experience include Ronald McDonald House, United Way, YMCA of Greater Cleveland, St. Ladislas Church and the May Dugan Center. Weigle has a Bachelor of Science degree from Allegheny College and has pursued graduate studies at Case Western Reserve University.

Susan O. Scheutzow, Vice Chairman, joined the Board in 2005 and is a member of the Long Range Planning and Quality Assessment Committees. She is Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Recognized as one of the top attorneys in Ohio and in the nation, Scheutzow has authored numerous publications and served as an adjunct faculty member at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Barrie Briggs Spang, Secretary, was appointed to the Board in 2008 and serves on the Development and Quality Assessment Committees. Spang is an Interior Designer with Lee Meier Interiors. She currently also serves on the Board of H.E.L.P. Children and on the Alumni Board of Lake Forest College where she co-chairs the Regional Network for Cleveland. She is a graduate of Cleveland Bridge Builders Class of 2013. Spang earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history and sociology from Lake Forest College and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art.

Patricia M. Scanlon, Treasurer, was elected to the Board in 2004. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Notre Dame Law School, Scanlon currently chairs the Finance Committee.

Nancy Oatey McMillan, Assistant Secretary and Assistant Treasurer, was elected to the Board in 2003 and chairs the Development Committee. She was formerly employed at Lakewood Hospital in the Senior Care Department, where she directed the Forever Fit Program. McMillan is active in the Lakewood Garden Club. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health Education K-12 from Muskingum College.
