Thank you for so many things. Thank you for the beautiful plant, the memorial outside of Dan’s office, the love and concern and patience you showed us. I have often thought of how our lives crossed for such a short time, but such a meaningful time. We will never forget you and all those that loved and cared for my mom.

Dear Kelly,

Thank you for your card and kind words. It was good to hear how well liked my dad was at Devon Oaks. Although he was only with you for a few months, it was a good move for him, and he felt settled there.

Please extend my thanks to your entire staff—especially Dan, the nurses, and the ladies who helped.

From helping me out when his car wouldn’t start until distributing his furniture at the end, you all went above and beyond.

I’m sorry I won’t be able to make the memorial service but thank you for thinking of me.

Thank you so much for joining us to celebrate my mom’s life and for all you and your team did for her.

First, I‘m sorry this is so late. More and more items have been added. I have wanted to send a thank you to all the staff of Devon Oaks for several months now.

After mom moved in, we were able to celebrate both Easter and Mother’s Day together. It was so nice to not have to figure out where to go to celebrate. As it was my first time, I was watching and it was so great to see how all the staff were so kind, interacting with all the residents.

Shortly after, we had Memorial weekend and my niece, and her boys were in town visiting. The Sunroom is so nice to be able to eat together and not have our chaos impact the other residents. Again, everyone was so great. And then there was the cookout!! Great fun feeding two young boys.

Next was mom’s birthday. Being able to have the whole family together in the activity room and then out on the patio was amazing.

So, all in all, I just wanted to thank everyone for the opportunities we have had to be together and continue to make memories.

The one thing I say is that everyone, no matter their role, really cares for the residents and that is so important to give us, the family members, peace.
